What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is committed to making a difference to the lives of our children.
The successful candidate will:
• Support the learning of students to ensure they make good progress
• Have high levels of enthusiasm, energy, resilience and determination
• Be ambitious with a desire to work in a dynamic organisation
• Be committed to the ethos and culture of Sacred Heart
To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally (e.g During immediate short-term absence of teacher whilst longer term plans are made) or for short periods with teacher’s planning provided (eg to cover meetings).
