What skills and experience we're looking for

We’re on the lookout for someone who’s not just organised and efficient—but someone who genuinely cares about helping young people thrive. You’ll be the kind of person who sees potential in every student and knows how to bring it out.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have A Levels or NVQ Level 3 (or higher) and a solid grasp of how to support academic progress.
• Are a natural communicator—confident, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Can juggle multiple priorities with ease, staying calm and focused in a fast-paced school environment.
• Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school or support setting.
• Understand the unique challenges facing post-16 students—and are ready to help them navigate their next steps with confidence.

What the school offers its staff

At De Aston School, we don’t just talk about support—we live it. You’ll be joining a school that values its staff as much as its students, where collaboration, innovation, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

Here’s what makes us special:

• A genuinely warm and welcoming team—you’ll feel part of the family from day one.
• A Sixth Form on the brink of exciting change, led by a new Head of Sixth Form with a bold vision for the future.
• Outstanding CPD opportunities to help you grow and develop your career.
• A school culture rooted in evidence-informed practice, where your ideas and input will be valued.
• A beautiful rural setting on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds—peaceful, inspiring, and just 30 minutes from the historic city of Lincoln.

Further details about the role

This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to make a real difference. You’ll be a key player in helping our Sixth Form students overcome challenges, stay on track, and unlock their full potential.

We’re proud of our inclusive ethos and our commitment to safeguarding. All staff are expected to share this commitment.

If you’re ready to be part of something meaningful—where your work matters every single day—we’d love to hear from you.

Commitment to safeguarding

De Aston School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, medical and reference checks. All pre-employment checks are in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
