Your new company
Your new company is a market leader in investment and management in the hospitality industry. Due to an exciting time of growth, they are recruiting for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.
Your new role
In your new role, you will provide support during the month-end close by preparing consolidation workbooks and schedules for group reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will assist with annual and half-year audits and statutory accounts, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met, and information quality is maintained. You will be responsible for supporting the preparation of statutory accounts for all group companies and liaising with auditors on disclosures and filings. In addition to this, you will help prepare monthly balance sheet and cash flow reports, including actuals and forecasts, and assist with quarterly VAT submissions and reconciliation, coordinating with HMRC when necessary. Additionally, contribute to cash flow preparation and related financial tasks as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be newly qualified ACA or ACCA, preferably with experience in practice, including some exposure to publicly owned companies. You will need strong knowledge of group statutory reporting, audit, and taxation, with IFRS experience highly desirable. You will possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively at various levels. You should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and workflows efficiently.
