Summary

Deputyship and Finance Safeguarding Assistant (Temporary)
Job description
30 hours per week

Temporary up to 31 July 2026

This is an opportunity for you to enhance the delivery of our finance safeguarding services in an organisation that will value your contribution and encourage you to develop your existing skills.

Working as a member of a busy team, your key tasks will include assisting the Deputyship Officer with the management of vulnerable peoples financial affairs. Undertaking safeguarding visits to service delivery points to provide advice on financial procedures and administering the Safeguarding Team’s petty cash float, which includes issuing cash to service users or their representatives.

For this post you must be committed to a high level of customer service and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential. You should also demonstrate a flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
