The Authority is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to help run the Kerbcraft child pedestrian training scheme which teaches practical pedestrian skills to 5 to 7 year olds. You will play an active role in training the children. You will also assist with the recruitment and training of volunteers who will teach the children taking part in the scheme.

With a good understanding of current transport and road safety issues, you will have experience of working with children.

Having a good standard of literacy, you will be able to express yourself clearly, both verbally and in writing. Your flexibility and effective organisational skills will help you to develop and adapt to meet new ideas and challenges.

A full driving licence and access to your own transport for use during working hours is essential.

Provided all necessary checks are complete the contract will be for 7 months with a September 1st start date.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.

A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.

A Health Surveillance assessment through our Occupational Health Service is a requirement for this post
