Role Purpose:
- Leads the delivery of engineering construction projects from initiation
through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. - The role involves full accountability for scope, cost, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management across all phases of the project lifecycle.
What you'll be doing
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and
commissioning. - Provide direction and motivation to ensure project objectives are understood and
achieved. - Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee mobilisation, delivery, and demobilisation activities in alignment with
contractual and strategic goals. - Define and control scope, monitor cost performance, and manage changes.
- Track progress against project milestones and implement corrective actions where
required. - Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
- Manage client contracts and supply chain interfaces.
- Ensure commercial deliverables (e.g., variations, valuations, claims) are effectively managed in collaboration with commercial teams.
- Maintain and implement mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
- Act as the main point of contact with the client and key stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication, reporting, and relationship management throughout the project.
- Ensure project deliverables meet regulatory, contractual, and internal quality
standards. - Support audits and resolve non-conformance issues as necessary.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients
- Ensure compliance with governance processes and approval procedures.
Who we're looking for
- Formal qualification (BSc/MSc) in Engineering/Construction/ HNC/HND or experience equivalent
- Proven track record managing complex engineering or construction
projects. - Strong working knowledge of project controls, contract management, and
project delivery frameworks.
