Crynodeb
The Oxfordshire Community Children's Nursing team provide vital support to children from birth to 18 years with complex nursing needs across the county. The children on our caseload have a variety of chronic and acute conditions and require nursing support such as enteral feeding, long term ventilation, symptom management and support with acute childhood illnesses. The support we provide includes empowering families to care for their child's health needs at home, providing respite sessions, delivering acute and palliative care outside of the hospital environment, and supporting children at school. We are commissioned to provide all of these services within each of our four localities. This role is based in Oxford, however we offer a countywide service and travel to other areas/bases is required on a regular basis. Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a car for work. Our core service hours are between 08.00-20.00, 7 days a week, working contracted hours as a shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays. The on call palliative rota operates for 24 hours from 08:00 08:00, this is currently covered by Band 6 staff and above. If necessary, flexible working adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.
