The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial operations that underpin our cutting-edge research and development activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support.
About You
You are an enthusiastic individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for detail. Your collaborative approach and adaptability make you a valuable team player in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Criteria
• AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Desirable Criteria
• Experience in a research or engineering-focused organization.
• Familiarity with project-based accounting and grant funding processes.
