Summary

Work closely with the Deputy Head of Student Immigration and Compliance and with colleagues across the University to ensure the University is fully compliant with its sponsorship licence duties.

Maintain up to date knowledge of UKVI requirements and an overview of the Student route points-based system, engaging with training opportunities and ensuring that own knowledge and expertise is developed, and assisting in the training of others

Checking Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) requests and documentation to ensure students meet requirements.

Generating CAS to support visa applications for new and current students

Assisting in the University’s registration process/visa checks and following up any missing documents.

Assist with reporting changes to student circumstances including work placements, interruptions, withdrawals and course changes to UKVI via the UKVI SMS system.

Support the Attendance Administrator with the monitoring and tracking of attendance and engagement of UKVI sponsored students. Providing basic immigration advice to prospective and current students

Managing e-mails, telephone calls and face-to-face enquiries in connection with UKVI compliance duties

Assisting in the development, production and dissemination of visa guidelines, policies and procedures.

Organise and maintain Student route files, ensuring that all the correct documentation is readily available in the event of an audit

Check and upload student route E-visas.

Line management of the CAS Coordinator/Attendance Administrator

To undertake any other requirements commensurate with the seniority of the post/as required by the Head of Service
