Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a proactive and experienced Projects and Safety Manager within the Construction Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on health and safety, manage learner project activities, and ensure our workshops are safe, effective, and fully equipped to support high-quality construction education.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
As a key member of the Construction team, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and compliant operation of all construction workshops and learner projects. Specific duties will include:
Leading a team of Resource Assistants to maintain high standards in workshop safety and organisation.
Overseeing health and safety compliance across all practical areas, including documentation, risk assessments, and audits.
Ensuring all machinery and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
Managing community and employer-based learner projects, from planning to execution, ensuring full health and safety compliance.
Collaborating with curriculum staff to align resources and safety practices with evolving programme needs.
Promoting a positive health and safety culture among staff and students.
