Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant with KS2 experience?
We're looking for a dedicated and confident Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Alum Rock. This is a full-time role starting in September, ideal for someone who thrives in a classroom environment and is committed to helping children reach their full potential.
About the Role:
You'll be working as a whole class Teaching Assistant in a Year 4 setting, supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom tasks, behaviour management, and pupil progress. You'll also provide additional support to children with SEN or those working below expected levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
- Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and resource preparation.
- Offer targeted support to SEN and lower-ability pupils within the classroom.
- Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a calm, focused learning environment.
- Track pupil progress and feedback to the class teacher and SENCO where needed.
- Encourage pupil independence, resilience, and social development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting children in KS2, ideally within Year 4.
- Understanding of the KS2 national curriculum.
- Experience working with children with additional needs or lower ability.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach.
