Your Role as a Primary Teaching Assistant
As a Primary TA, you’ll work closely with class teachers and inclusion staff to support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development. Whether working with whole classes, small groups, or 1:1, your input will help build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting classroom teaching across core subjects (English, Maths, Phonics)
• Delivering small group interventions to close learning gaps
• Assisting with classroom preparation, routines, and displays
• Encouraging positive relationships and independence in pupils
• Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL

• A graduate (2:1 or above preferred), ideally in Education, English, Psychology, or a related field
• A kind, proactive, and reliable individual who loves working with children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with children is desirable but not essential
