Summary

Providing support in some specialist outpatient clinics including undertaking Venepuncture, collecting urine sample and recording height , weight . Full training will be given if you require this. Admin and Healthcare duties to ensure smooth running of the service. This includes working with other wards, departments, organisations and external agencies Follow up, coordination and recording of various tests and investigations required throughout the patients transplant journey Supporting the team admin lead Co-ordinating calls from patients or other departments / teams Supporting the patient pathway throughout the Transplant Coordinator service Job Purpose To abide by Trust policies and procedures To assist the registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high quality patient care To undertake a range of delegated clinical duties Maintain patients privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in acompassionate and sensitive manner. Be an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives. Continue to develop and maintain competencies to maintain high quality safe care. Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward/ department duties as required, e.g. general tidiness, re-determined stock levels are met and clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly. Assist with admin & clerical duties as required. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
