Crynodeb
To ensure an effective learning environment for staff, students and parents by maintaining access to a range of learning resources and acting as facilitator in the supervision and teaching of staff. Ensure that staff are educated in new skills and procedures. Appropriately developed in line with the NMC to meet service needs. Ensure staff are aware of revalidation and assist staff to ensure this is completed. To participate in induction, preceptor and mentor programmes for learners and junior medical and nursing staff. Act as a role model for all staff To ensure robust standards and frameworks are in place, in line with current recommendations, to ensure children receive high quality family centred care at all times. To provide clinical leadership for paediatric nursing staff. To ensure effective use of resources within the delegated budget. To participate in the induction process for staff. To agree and review service objectives and development plans. With training, be competent in the use of computerised systems employed in the hospital and community. Be proactive in minimising complaints seeking to provide local resolution wherever possible. Liaise with Nursing Management to investigate and respond to complaints. Help to develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
