What You Will Do:


Supervise the community meals service and its resources to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness, in line with the Operational Policies.
Support the work of team members, including performance monitoring, staff care, schedules, and rotas.
Supervise the administration of the meals service.
Ensure health and safety with a focus on food and kitchen hygiene and conduct any necessary investigations or enquiries.
Provide friendly, compassionate, and professional service during all client interactions.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to enhancing service offerings and delivery processes.
Achieving delivery targets and maintaining high client satisfaction scores.
Ensuring 100% compliance with food safety and health regulations.
Efficient management of staff schedules to minimize overtime and reduce costs.


What We Are Looking For:



NVQ Level 3 in Food Hygiene and/or Health and Safety (preferred but not essential).
Office experience.
Proven experience working with a team of 40-45 employees.
Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in dealing with elderly and vulnerable people.
Excellent communication, customer care, and numeracy skills.
Strong leadership skills with a personable, approachable, and supportive manner.
Ability to effectively supervise, delegate, and support a team of staff.
Knowledge of Health and Safety matters in relation to community meals services and risk management.
Proficiency in using inventory management and scheduling software.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Positive attitude with a genuine passion for assisting those in need.
Initiative-taking, keen to learn, and willing to seek guidance when needed.
Ability to use initiative and work without supervision.
Reliable, trustworthy, and responsible with a mature attitude to punctuality and meeting deadlines.
Able to handle cash confidently and accurately.
Flexible and prepared to adjust work schedules as required.
Able to cope with unforeseen incidents and act responsibly in emergencies.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with business insurance cover.
Willingness to undergo necessary background checks.
Availability to work on weekends as required.
