We are expanding our Skin Cancer Services at Frimley Health NHS Trust and invite applications from nurses with an interest in plastic surgery and skin cancer to join our dedicated team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a comprehensive, nurse-led service that is holistic, evidence-based, and tailored to meet the individual needs of skin cancer patients through personalised care and support planning.
The post-holder will work towards becoming a clinical expert in skin cancer, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously within a well-established, integrated multidisciplinary team. Acting as a Keyworker for a defined caseload, you will serve as a vital link between patients and healthcare professionals across primary, secondary, and tertiary care settings.
You will advocate for patients and families, providing ongoing support and ensuring the highest standards of clinical care. The role demands competence in complex post-surgical wound assessment, management, and dressing application, alongside skills in drain management and aftercare following sentinel lymph node biopsy and lymph node dissection/clearance.
This position is ideal for a motivated nurse seeking to develop expertise in skin cancer care within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
