Head of Teaching and Learning – 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. £44,130.70 (BRK41) Based in Weybridge, Surrey. Some travel
to Ashford Campus, Surrey.

We are seeking someone who will act as a role model for all staff and students across the College. The Head of Teaching &
Learning is expected to be an inspirational and experienced teaching and learning practitioner. The Head of Teaching & Learning
will play a key role in driving pedagogical excellence in the classroom and developing and co-delivering on our Teacher Training
programmes for new and unqualified teachers.
About the role:
Your role will include, but not be limited to:
* Lead and undertake a comprehensive programme of regular and structured learning visits, providing impactful feedback and
ensuring every teacher has an individualised personal development plan that aligns with the 'Brooklands Expects' ethos.
* Lead and manage a team of Teaching & Learning Developers to cultivate and deliver exemplary teaching and learning through
tailored teacher development, continuous professional development (CPD) and insightful observations.
* Work collaboratively with the Director of Teaching & Learning, leaders and managers to promote and support high-quality
pedagogy across all curriculum areas, ensuring that all students have a positive and engaging learning experience.
* Champion the effective adoption and skilled use of digital tools and strategies by all teachers and assessors, fostering
innovation and continuously enhancing the quality of teaching and learning.
* Develop and co-deliver on the Teaching Training programmes in close liaison with the awarding body / quality team, adhering to
all required administrative procedures.
* To contribute to the College’s quality assurance and improvement processes, including self-assessment and quality improvement
process and learner voice, as directed by the Assistant Principal for Education & Personal Development.
To fulfil the role of Teaching and Learning you will have:
* PGCE/Certificate in Education or equivalent
* Experience in a senior/management role within Further Education, Higher Education, or another relevant educational environment
* Ability to undertake effective coaching with the ability to enthuse and inspire staff
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies and their application in enhancing teaching,
learning, and assessment
* An awareness and understanding of contemporary curriculum and assessment developments
* A sound understanding of the Government agenda for education development and Ofsted
* Inspire colleagues, provide the support, direction and encouragement to enable staff to perform to their full potential
* Ability to successfully use creativity and innovation to bring about organisational and cultural change, engaging others
positively in the process.
* Care and establish positive relationships to foster and influence across the college
