Your specific duties and responsibilities will include:

Assisting in the installation of specialist falsework and formwork systems
Disassembly of large falsework and formwork systems.
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials using hand and power tools.
Assembling parts into components and finished products using glue, screws, nails, dowels, and other joining techniques.
Sanding and finishing surfaces to a smooth finish.
Ensuring all work meets quality standards and is compliant with safety regulations.
Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly manner.

The Apprenticeship Standard 

This is a level 2 or 3 apprenticeship, which means that on its completion you will have an industry recognised qualification as well as valuable practical experience.

Carpentry and joinery / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education

SRM's chosen programme is delivered by Lakes College in West Cumbria

Your profile

At  Sir Robert McAlpine typically, we look for the below:

Have a passion for problem solving
Be interested in construction, engineering and the latest technology
Work experience (desirable) 
Please note that due to the nature of our sites applicants must be over 18

The Apprenticeship course entry requirements are as follows; 

Level 2 - None on entry but Level 1 Maths and English must be completed and Level 2 exams taken prior to the EPA .
Level 3 – Maths and English GSCE at Grade 4+ (or equivalent)
