Location: Bishop’s Stortford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm (with one half-day per week: 8am–2pm or 2pm–6pm)

Are you an experienced and qualified early years professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our warm and welcoming setting in Bishop’s Stortford.

About the Role:

As a Nursery Room Leader, you’ll be responsible for leading a room team to deliver high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years. You'll help create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of practitioners within your room

  
  

• Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

  
  

• Promote a nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported

  
  

• Monitor and track children's development and progress

  
  

• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and your team

  
  

• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety procedures

  
  What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, NNEB)

    
    

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or similar leadership role in a nursery or early years setting

    
    

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework

    
    

  • A caring, professional, and enthusiastic attitude

    
    

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

    
    

  • A proactive, team-focused mindset
