Crynodeb
The post holder will join a specialist rotation involving approximately 9-month rotations in ESD, CSNRT and Neuro Outpatient Services. The role involves working jointly with a range of other therapists, Psychologists and specialist nurses (Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons and Motor Neurone Disease / Rare Neurological conditions). The post holder is responsible for: Assessment and treatment of own caseload of patients who may have complex presentations, including maintenance of patient records as an autonomous practitioner. Management of patients with a variety of acute, chronic and progressive disorders. This would include patients with significant levels of physical dependency, as well as cognitive and perceptual impairments and communication problems. Provision of clinical interventions in the most appropriate setting this will include patients homes and other community settings, in-reach into hospital sites and group work. Provision of supervision for junior staff, assistants and students. Participation in team teaching programme, including planning and leading sessions as appropriate. Deputising for the Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist as required.
