Summary
Hough Green Garage is a busy Vehicle Recovery Company with currently 13 depots, covering the North West, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Wales, providing emergency cover to customers, Motoring organisations and Police Authorities.
An exciting opportunity is available for a yard operator / forklift driver.
As a yard operator of a busy Site, you are an integral part of a team in providing service without compromise.
You will be able to use your initiative and excellent organisational skills to prioritise daily tasks to ensure the smooth and effective running of the depot
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from lorries and other vehicles
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required
- Manage warehouse activities including materials handling and inventory control
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and movements
Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment is advantageous
- Proficiency in load/unload procedures and heavy lifting techniques
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance
- Familiarity with forklift operation and materials handling practices
- Ability to use warehouse management systems effectively
- Basic maths skills for inventory tracking
