Summary


We are searching for a high performing and enthusiastic individual to undertake an ultrasound training post here at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. This is an opportunity for an individual to become a clinical advanced practitioner and develop themselves professionally within their role in ultrasound diagnostics.





Applications are invited from hardworking and motivated individuals. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience, have a proven interest in ultrasound and satisfy the entry requirements of the University of Cumbria.

Applicants must posses an undergraduate University qualification and be registered with the HCPC/NMC/GMC or equivalent registered professional body.

Academic teaching will take place at the University of Cumbria and practical clinical training will be undertaken in the ultrasound department mentored by our imaging clinical tutor. The successful candidate will learn how to scan a variety of obstetric and gynaecological patients, learn how to compose detailed reports and complete the relevant modules at the University.

The Post Holder will work under clinical supervision of the Sonographers in delivering all aspects of obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound procedures, whilst undertaking academic training at the University of Cumbria.

Excellent communication skills are essential due to the need to deliver highly sensitive and upsetting information to both patients and relatives.

The Post Holder will have a good professional knowledge of all aspects of
Obstetric and Gynaecological ultrasound, and participate actively in CPD and other developmental activities. Participation in equipment testing and analysis for Quality Assurance is required.
