Own vehicle needed: Yes
Employment status: self-employed
Hours per week: 15 hours per week, actual hours can be discussed at interview, but I would be happy for the support to change on a weekly basis, if that suited the PA.

I am looking for a self-employed PA, for 15 hours per week to help me with day to day living.
Some background information about me - I live with my husband, and my guide dog. I have a visual impairment. My husband also has additional needs. My interests include reading, going to the theatre, travelling and doing jigsaw puzzles.
I am looking for a PA to support with the following - vacuuming, including the stairs, dusting all surfaces, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, including the oven, when required, cleaning the bathroom and downstairs toilet and basin, changing bedding, cleaning the inside of the windows and blinds, and ironing. Gardening, we don't have a lawn, weeding and sweeping up leaves etc. Occasional trips to the shops, going out for a coffee, occasional dog walks and admins tasks as and when needed.
Duties include: Moving and handling Other relevant duties as required Administration Housekeeping Shopping Cooking Transportation Companionship Looking after pets Gardening Candidate qualities: Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality Reliable with good timekeeping Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative Hygienic, tidy and well organised Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills Honest and cheerful Creative Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard Must be comfortable with pets Able to always work to high standards of health & safety I have a guide dog.
Additional requirements Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position, you will be either engaged directly or employed by the individual employer and not by Independent Lives. The role may be offered on an employed or self-employed basis, depending on the suitability and agreement with the employer.
