Crynodeb
The ACP team is part of a wider surgical ACP team that meet for weekly teaching and peer support. In addition there are other established ACP teams across the Trust that network and share The roles will work collaboratively, within multi professional teams. The qualified ACP will be expected to make complex, autonomous decisions utilising expert practice and knowledge within a supportive team. The trainee roles will be supported while they undertake the academic study and training required to develop into the role. The qualified ACP band 8a will have a registered MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or have completed a PG Cert & Dip in Advanced Clinical Practice and is undertaking their dissertation/learning improvement programme. They will be an established Non Medical Prescriber (NMP) and able to function as an autonomous practitioner across the surgical clinical areas. The job plan has 10-20%non clinical protected time to achieve all four pillars of advanced practice. The trainee ACP band 7 will be willing to undertake, or is currently registered on an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. Consideration will be given to applicants who are or have completed the physical assessment module, are registered non-medical prescribers or are completing the NMP course. They will demonstrate a commitment to completing an MSc in Advanced Practice. Funding and 20% non clinical time will be provided to undertake the MSc.
