About you and this role
Dow is excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as an Associate Operator at our Barry, UK location. In this role, you will operate assigned equipment or areas of the plant, perform and report on operational activities, and utilize your knowledge and experience to ensure safe, reliable, and optimal plant operations. You will work closely with shift team members to resolve unplanned events and train less experienced operators.
Responsibilities
Follow Operating Discipline policies and procedures to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Operate and monitor process equipment, conditions, and control systems to achieve desired rates and conditions.
Perform scheduled and unplanned operational tasks, collaborating with shift team members to balance workload.
Conduct effective shift relief and maintain qualifications through timely completion of training goals.
Mentor and train new and existing operations personnel on process operation and troubleshooting.
Perform Autonomous Maintenance, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance, following appropriate policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Preferred manufacturing or related experience, especially in a factory production environment.
5 GCSEs at grade C and above, including Maths and Science.
Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (e.g., associate’s degree) in Process Technology or related field, plus process operations experience.
Production Unit certifications typically required.
