ACES Academies Trust is an educational organisation supporting several schools across the Huntingdon area. Situated in Hinchingbrooke House in Huntingdon, and just a short drive from Cambridge, we have a well-dedicated team offering a relaxed and friendly environment that is tailored to the needs of each school.
ACES is looking for a friendly and motivated Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our established site team. The role will ensure our estates are a safe environment for the students and staff and that they conform to the requirements as laid out under Health and Safety legislation and Gas Safe requirements. The person we are looking for will have the ability to work independently with confidence and thrive on problem solving.

Working pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 08:00 am - 16:00 pm, Friday 08:00 am – 15:30, with a 30-minute unpaid break.
Salary: PO3 – PO4 dependent on experience (FTE £41,511 - £47,754 )
About you:
We are seeking an individual who can share our values and would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to young people’s lives and possess the following knowledge and experience:
Valid ACS commercial gas qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1), and commercial modules such as CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1.
Proven experience working on commercial gas systems in a mobile/facilities environment.
Knowledge of current Gas Safety and Health & Safety legislation.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, Heating, or Mechanical Engineering.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence and own car (essential).
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple commercial sites.
