Preferred days/times:
4 hours per week - self-employed PA
Days and hours to be discussed with the client and their Dad.
PA required to have a vehicle and a clean, full, UK driving licence
Mileage to be paid by the client
Tasks/duties:
PA to assist the client with accessing the community; they would like someone in the younger age bracket like themselves. They would like to look at getting into some groups or activities.
The client has become very isolated since their diagnosis and requires support when out due to their sight loss.
Client main diagnosis:
Alpers Syndrome - a progressive life-limiting neurodevelopmental syndrome
Sight loss due to Alpers Syndrome
Manual Handling
None needed
Pets
A Small French bulldog who is friendly
Communication:
There are no communication barriers
Client enjoys:
The client enjoys baking, animals and attending groups with similar needs
The client was completing a carpentry course before their illness
This opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, positive and proactive
