Full-Time Personal Assistant/Support Worker required for a man in his 60s with Cerebral Palsy living in the East Kilbride area with his family, to provide assistance to attend social activities, like cinema trips, days out, lunches, and coffee mornings etc.
Assistance is required to aid with socialisation and help him be involved in the community and for companionship, to take him out during the day. No personal care is required – only prompting for hand washing for example.
Assistance is also required to assist him to attend Healthy and Active in East Kilbride, for art classes, yoga etc.
A sociable and easygoing person is required with a caring nature.
Driver essential with access to your own vehicle – mileage will be paid.
Hours of work: 31 hours per week.
Typically - Monday to Friday during the day - this can be flexible to a certain degree depending on the candidate’s availability, to be discussed at interview.
Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour
