Wildlings is looking to recruit an inspiring and passionate qualified educator to join our truly unique provision. For the right candidate, a leadership role may also be available. The role is for a minimum of 3 days per week 8am-5pm, with additional hours available for those wishing to work full time. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Level 3 full and relevant Early Years qualification (or QTS), but other relevant experience working with 2-5 year olds or children with SEND will be considered.
The role will involve working with children aged 2-5 in both our hall and woods settings. We are looking for a full member of our team, who will immerse themselves in the Wildlings experience and be willing to thoroughly get to know our ways of working, as well as help us to continually develop our unique offer.
You will need to be proactive, a quick thinker and familiar with building attachments with young children. You will have experience of working with children from age 2 to 5, be warm, able to multi-task and committed to using children’s natural interests and curiosity to enable them to become strong, capable and resilient learners. We're looking for someone who has an imaginative approach to play and is familiar with individualised planning to meet each child’s needs and next steps in learning, both in the moment and when creating short and long term plans. Our unique approach to learning is influenced by Forest School, Reggio and Montessori approaches to learning. You will be familiar with these approaches and keen to work in a holistic way.
We work outdoors all year round, whatever the weather, so you must be physically fit enough to carry out a demanding job in sometimes challenging conditions. Our Forest site is not accessible by public transport, please consider your travel options prior to application.
