Leisure Assistant – Newmarket Leisure Centre - Hourly rate between £10.00-£12.21
As a Leisure Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our members and customers. From lifeguarding our pools to maintaining cleanliness standards and assisting with equipment setup, you'll deliver exceptional customer service every day!
We have 3 roles available:

Role 1: 37 hours per week
Week 1: Monday: 05:30-13:30, Tuesday: 14:30-22:00, Thursday: 12:00-21:00, Friday: 12:00-21:00, Saturday: 06:15-15:30, Sunday: 07:45-14:00
Week 2: Monday: 05:30-13:30, Tuesday: 11:15-20:30, Wednesday: 14:00-22:00, Thursday: 12:00-21:00
Week 3: Monday: 05:30-13:30, Tuesday: 06:30-14:30, Wednesday: 14:00 – 21:00, Thursday: 16:30 – 22:00, Friday: 16:15 - 22:00
Role 2: 37 hours per week
Week 1: Monday 13:00-20:00, Tuesday 05:30-13:30, Wednesday 12:00-21:00, Thursday 11:00-19:00, Friday 06:00-12:00

Key Responsibilities:
• Lifeguarding duties, including monitoring pool safety and responding to emergencies.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
• Assisting with equipment setup and breakdown for various activities.
• Providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall experience for our guests.
Requirements:
• Responsible individual with a passion for working in leisure, health, and well-being.
• Prior experience is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Strong commitment to safety and the well-being of others.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required.
Candidates without an NPLQ will have the opportunity to undergo full training after a successful swim test and interview.
Interviews will take place onsite or via Teams on an ongoing rolling basis until a suitable candidate is found.
