Do you have a genuine interest in helping a range of students? Then join our outstanding pastoral team which offers a host of rewarding experiences.

We are ideally seeking an Individual who will Lead restorative practice within the Inclusion area and support the roll out across the wider school.

The successful candidate will also provide pastoral support and supervision to students outside of lessons. They will contribute to the team supporting and changing the behaviour of our most vulnerable students. They will Assist in the supervision of the Behaviour Support Room and lead the use of the behaviour support room to ensure that it is a safe and regulating space for students who are in need of short-term intervention.

The postholder will also ensure appropriate work is available in the Behaviour support room so students are meaningfully engaged.

This post would suit applicants who have a clear understanding of how to deal with learning or behavioural issues in young people and an ability to Lead, support and engage students appropriately. The candidate will be able to use emotional intelligence and communication skills to help students to reflect on, and learn from, challenging situations, whether this be reflective or part of a restorative process. A strong candidate will have the skills and experience to recognise underlying patterns of student behaviours and work collaboratively with the pastoral team to help scaffold a plan for improving student outcomes.

Working hours are 37 per week based on 8.00am - 4.10pm Monday-Thursday, 8.00am – 3.40pm Friday. Working weeks will be term time plus 5 staff learning days: 39 weeks per year in total.

What the school offers its staff

Salary will be paid at Band H, £30,060 to £32,654 pa pro-rata: starting point depending on experience and qualifications. Salary for actual hours worked is calculated at £26,042 to £28,289 per annum subject to any continuous service.
