A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Advanced (Nurse) Practitioner to join our friendly team in the Emergency Department at Furness General Hospital.

You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you will be able to prioritise working with a range of staff and patients from the multidisciplinary wider hospital team.

Please contact Sharon Moore if you want to arrange a visit.

We can offer you a friendly team to work alongside as we deliver high quality end to end patient interventions. You will be supported to work autonomously in delivering the best care within the emergency care setting and we will encourage you to be involved in yours and other colleagues development.

Are you prepared for the challenge? We would encourage you to come and visit us and we will demonstrate our passion for the work we do.

Full details of main responsibilities can be found in the attached job description and person specification for this role.

We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

To read more information about the advertised role, and the main job duties/responsibilities please open the Job Description and Person Specification located under the supporting documents heading.
