Estimator - Main Contractor
Location: Hertfordshire | Salary: Up to £70,000 + Benefits
My client is a reputable main contractor with a turnover of £100m is looking to expand its estimating team. Specialising in refurbishment, fit out, and cut & carve projects within the education and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders and negotiated projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive take-offs.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and build cost plans.
- Evaluate project risks and opportunities and contribute to value engineering discussions.
- Support bid submissions and attend pre- and post-tender meetings when required.
- Work closely with the pre-construction and project delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover.
- Maintain awareness of market conditions, material costs, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Main Contractor experience (preferred).
- Single stage tenders.
- Two stage tenders.
- Able to work on a tender independently.
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Able to work.
