Crynodeb
Responsible for own actions, ensuring all patient interactions/observations are communicated to trained staff. Show dignity and respect in dealings with patients, staff and visitors. Undertake agreed clinical and non-clinical tasks following training, ensuring referral to the appropriate trained staff as appropriate. Observations. Organise own daily workload e.g. use and cleaning of identified medical and non-medical equipment (beds, hoists etc). Assist with personal patient care e.g. feeding and toileting. Support less experienced members of staff in their orientation to the ward and role Utilise IT systems to secure accurate and timely patient data Support the team in expected clinical events requiring high but unpredictable levels of physical effort according to patient dependency/clinical need Support staff and patients exposed to difficult situations arising in the clinical area e.g. after receipt of bad news or following an unexpected event Maintain a clean, safe environment ensuring adherence to Trust standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control at all times. Promote and monitor adherence to Health and Safety and Trust policy designed to protect healthcare staff and service users from known hazards.
