The role is a Permanent, Term-Time only role
Monday to Friday (08:30am – 17:00pm) (approx. 36 teaching weeks per annum)
No working required during school holidays
Salary from: £27,008 - £29,350 pro rata, depending on experience (£23,150 - £25,157 salary for term-time, 36 weeks pa)

If you answered yes to all of the above AND have a passion for working with children with social and communication needs then you are the Learning Support Assistant we are looking for!What the role involves: You will not find yourself getting bored in this role! Each day in Blossom House 16-19 brings new challenges, with all three of our provisions (College Link, Employability, Futures) catering for different cohorts of student. Your role may involve providing support in lessons for classes of students from any of the three provisions. You might be required to support individual students. There will be offsite travel required as students visit the local community and beyond, engaging in work experience placements and volunteering opportunities. You’ll also be key in maintaining the learning environments, assisting with administration and participating in pastoral sessions, developing professional relationships with students in order to support their learning as well as their social and emotional development.The ideal candidate will have: Mental and physical resilience are qualities necessary for all our staff; supporting our students can sometimes be challenging, Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning. Comfortable with short-notice changes to established schedules when necessary Good quality of written and spoken English and numeracy skills. Knowledge and experience of supporting social and emotional needs of students The ability to build good working relationships with students, teachers, therapists, parents and carers. Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN), including students with ASD, ADHD. The ability to manage small groups of children with complex social communication needs. The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential.Closing date: Monday 16th June 2025 Early applications are encouraged
