Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham is looking for a confident, experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 team. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of Key Stage 1 and a passion for early learning.
You'll be joining a supportive, community-focused school where your contribution is truly valued.
Your Role:
- Support the class teacher with daily routines and learning activities
- Work with small groups to deliver phonics and literacy interventions
- Provide 1:1 support for children who may need additional help
- Help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Track pupil progress and support their social and emotional development
What We're Looking For:
- Essential: Experience working in Year 1 or across KS1
- Level 3 TA qualification (or relevant qualification/experience)
- Confident delivering phonics (Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds ideal)
- A patient, nurturing approach and excellent communication skills
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive
