A pioneering biotech company based in Cambridge is seeking a commercially-minded and technically accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development and scale-up of an innovative diagnostic platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap, from concept through to commercialisation.
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary R&D and engineering team.
- Ensure robust development of diagnostic products in line with regulatory and commercial requirements.
- Oversee technology transfer and manage the transition to commercial-scale manufacturing.
- Work closely with the CEO and board to shape business strategy, support fundraising, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Cultivate and manage external relationships with manufacturers, academic collaborators, and clinical partners.
Essential Criteria
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in product development within life sciences or diagnostics.
- At least 3 years in a senior technical or product leadership role in a commercial organisation.
- Proven experience taking an in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) product to market and through commercial-scale manufacturing.
- Strong background in startup environments, including fundraising, board engagement, and strategic planning.
