A rare opportunity has opened for a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a pivotal leadership role. This is more than just a nursing role – it’s a chance to guide, shape, and elevate clinical standards in a highly supportive, collaborative team dynamic.

The Role

This position combines hands-on nursing excellence with team leadership and operational oversight. Working closely with clinical directors and practice leaders, the Senior RVN will:

  • Lead nursing staff: Coordinate workflows, supervise day-to-day operations, and ensure best-in-class inpatient and surgical care


  • Mentor and train: Support student nurses and care assistants, enhancing their clinical growth


  • Maintain standards: Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, infection control, and patient safety across departments


  • Act as client liaison: Ensure pet owners are informed, supported, and confident in the care their pets receive


  • Model professionalism: Represent the team’s values through compassionate service and outstanding nursing practice


    You’ll also deputise for the Head Nurse during periods of absence, offering an excellent career progression pathway.

    Duties Include
    • Advanced inpatient care and peri-op support


    • Surgical and medical nursing


    • Workflow and rota coordination


    • Clinical auditing and infection control


    • Coaching junior team members


    • Client education and complaint resolution


    • Operational oversight of hospital procedures
