Programme Engagement Manager – Next Generation Rating (NGR) – Role Overview
Step into a pivotal role at the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) during an exciting phase of transformation as we deliver our NextGen Rating (NGR) programme. NGR is a complex, multi-year transformation programme and part of Government’s Major Projects Portfolio (GMPP). This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a £240 million transformation initiative that will shape the future of non-domestic rates in the UK. As part of this a new digital service will be delivered which will eventually be used by all 1.3 million ratepayers in England and Wales, covering 2.1m businesses. While the new internal system being replaced will be used by over 2000 VOA colleagues.
The programme engagement manager will have the opportunity to lead, inspire, and drive engagement in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, you will coordinate and shape both communications and engagement across our thriving Programme Team of 200+ professionals. In this central role you’ll ensure new starters are equipped with suitable programme onboarding materials, coordinating and leading the regular programme communication channels of townhalls, SRO updates, Programme Director updates and programme demos. You’ll lead the organisation of our Planning Increment Events for the programme and key stakeholders every quarter, engaging all teams to define objectives that support delivery of our programme plan. This dynamic, fast-paced environment provides continuous learning opportunities and the chance to make a significant impact.
Through the Project Delivery profession, this role aligns closest with a Level 3 Stakeholder Manager role. The requirements have been mapped to the Infrastructure & Projects Authority Project Delivery Competency Framework (PDCF). Please refer to the PDCF for further details:
