Year 1 Class Teacher - Full Time
Location: Horbury, Wakefield
Start Date: September 2025 (Temporary until December 2025)
Trust Education is looking for a Year 1 Class Teacher to join a highly regarded and welcoming primary school in Horbury. This full-time position is to cover a short-term staff absence in the new academic year and will run until December 2025.

About the Role:
As the Year 1 Class Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the school's curriculum and planning frameworks.
- Work closely with a supportive team of teaching assistants and senior leaders.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Ensure continuity of learning and care during this temporary period of cover.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Year 1 teaching education and wants to make a real difference in a supportive school setting.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS and have experience in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
- Have a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and phonics.
- Be nurturing, inclusive, and committed to pupil wellbeing.
- Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and fully engaged in school life.
- Use a range of assessment tools to support and track pupil progress.
