Responsibilities
Assist chefs in food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables.
Keep the kitchen clean and organized by washing utensils, pots, pans, and serving dishes promptly after use.
Help with the management of kitchen inventory by storing and rotating stock as it arrives.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is well maintained and in good working condition, reporting any issues to senior staff.
Support the team during busy service periods by helping with plating and expediting orders as needed.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
Assist in cleaning kitchen floors, surfaces, and equipment to maintain a hygienic working environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 16:00
Pay Per Hour: £12.21
