Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Employment Lawyer to join our legal team at the PO3-PO5 level. This role is vital in navigating the complexities of employment law and providing expert legal guidance to our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various employment law practices, encompassing both advisory and litigation facets. You will be responsible for addressing a range of employment-related issues, including but not limited to workplace disputes, regulatory compliance, and the interpretation of employment contracts. Collaboration with human resources and management will be essential as you work to ensure that our employment policies align with legal standards and best practices. The Employment Lawyer will also play a critical role in the development and training of internal stakeholders on legal compliance and best practices. A passion for employment law and a deep understanding of employee rights, workplace policies, and labor regulations will make you a successful candidate. Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on employment matters including hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.
Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and related documents.
Represent the organization in employment-related disputes, mediations, and litigations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
Conduct training sessions for management and employees on legal aspects of employment and workplace policies.
Stay updated on changes in employment law and assess their implications on the organization.
Collaborate with HR to develop strategies for improving workplace relations and communication.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law, preferably within a corporate setting.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Proven litigation experience in employment-related claims and disputes.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to advise and influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £30.53
