About the Role
As Governance Administration Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in the smooth running of our governance operations. You will support the planning and delivery of Trust Board and Local Governing Body (LGB) meetings, coordinate documentation, and maintain governance records and databases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing and circulating meeting agendas, papers, and correspondence
• Liaising with school leaders, governors, trustees, and clerks to ensure smooth communication
• Supporting the upkeep of systems like GovernorHub and compliance records
• Assisting with general admin tasks, including document formatting, filing, and room bookings
• Occasionally attending governance meetings to take notes and log actions
• Upholding data protection and confidentiality at all times
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
• A GCSE (or equivalent) in English (grade C or above)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems
• A discreet and professional manner, especially when handling sensitive information
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently
Prior experience with governance procedures or school administration is desirable, but not essential. Training will be provided where required.
