Blue Recruitment Personnel is seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
We are looking for an Associate or Associate Director to lead and manage electrical engineering projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical design, installation and commissioning.
Develop and review electrical designs, calculations and specifications.
Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing training and support.
Liaise with clients, architects and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
Conduct site surveys and inspections to assess existing electrical systems and identify potential issues.
Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
Contribute to business development activities, including preparing proposals and attending client meetings.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.
Extensive experience in electrical design and project management.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting and control systems.
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Amtech, AutoCAD).
Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Full UK driving license.
Desirable:
Experience in a consultancy environment.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles.
Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling).
