Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated clinical research fellow to support the delivery of NIHR portfolio trials in Renal medicine.

The position is available from the beginning of August as a fixed term 1 year post, with expectation of working 5 days a week during normal work hours. Ideally, we would like to train the fellow before starting the post, which can be discussed.

They must have experience of working as a doctor in the NHS and hold MRCP qualification.Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 and will require GMC registration. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.



The post is for Nephrology trainees looking to gain experience of Renal Research clinical trials and become sub investigator on multiple landmark studies. This is post is for those doctors who may have some experience of clinical trial research, or those who wish to gain experience in clinical trial delivery. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join this progressive, and dynamic service, with the potential to help contribute to the delivery and leadership of NIHR portfolio research.
You will be trained on ongoing studies, their backgrounds, aims, methodology and delivery metrics and targets along with getting invaluable experience and a unique insight on clinical trial delivery.

Providing support to the research team in gaining informed consent for patients including remote consenting and checking trial eligibility, inclusion/exclusion criteria for participant recruitment
Communicating with participants, answering their questions/concerns around research
Providing medical oversight on adverse event reporting and adjudication, ensuring appropriate follow up of these
Providing medical assessment of participants during visits including the symptomatic pathway
Providing medical care in the unlikely event any participant has any acute reaction to the vaccine or its constituents
