PEX Tutor - GBP25-GBP30 per hour
Prospero Teaching are working in partnership with Newcastle County Council to provide tuition to a permanently excluded young person. This individual is in Year 9, within the East End of Newcastle, is neurodiverse and struggles with their mental health. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, empathetic tutor to utilise their skills & make a meaningful difference in the lives of a vulnerable individual.
Tuition is commissioned for 6 hours per week, usually split into three sessions of 2 hours. We can build up your timetable to accommodate either full or part time hours. Pay rate varies between GBP25 & GBP30 per hour depending on if you have Qualified Teacher Status.
What we expect from you
As part of your role, you will be expected to:
· Build a rapport with the young person
· Complete Baseline Assessments
· Mark sessional attendance
· Complete weekly reports
· Complete an Individual Learning Plan

What we need from you:
· Hold the right to work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to complete a new application

· The ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
