Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to provide technical support and assistance to our clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize IT systems, ensuring smooth operation and excellent user experience. This role requires a strong customer service focus and ability to manage multiple support requests efficiently.
Essential Functions:
• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, printers, and network equipment.
• Assist users with technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and escalate complex cases when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
• Assist with user account management, access permissions, and IT asset inventory.
• Support routine system updates, backups, and security protocols.
• Collaborate with the IT team to improve processes and user satisfaction.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Solid understanding of IT systems, networks, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic knowledge of networking principles (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests effectively.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
• Previous experience in IT support or helpdesk role preferred.
• Familiarity with common IT hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and remote support tools is an advantage.
