Our excellent client, based in Stroud, are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their small and growing finance team (including an office dog!) on a full-time, permanent basis.
This business has a number of clients on their books that rely on them for finance assistance, therefore, you will need to be a friendly point of contact for queries and processing.
Although beneficial, finance experience or qualifications is NOT necessary, so long as you keen to learn. Other benefits include free parking, and flexibility on hours and potential ad-hoc home working days on offer following training.
Responsibilities
- Assist with finance/accounts email inbox.
- Using document scanning system for import/coding/authorisation/export to system.
- Preparing payment runs – weekly and monthly.
- Payment allocations.
- Loading payments onto various banks – as relevant to each client.
- Issuing payment remittances where relevant.
- Supplier statement recs and dealing with any queries.
- Posting and reconciling expenses claims.
- Raising sales invoices.
- General administration
Experience
- Computer literate, to include Excel and Outlook
- Friendly, team player
- Clear communicator
- Well organised
Salary – up to £27,000, depending on experience
Hours – 35 hours per week: Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm (1hr lunch) + benefits including;
- Free parking.
- Study support towards AAT.
- Flexible working hours.
- Relaxed working environment.
- Potential for ad hoc hybrid working once trained.
