Crynodeb
Takes a lead role in managing antimicrobial stewardship across the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. Works closely with the Infection Prevention and Control team to promote prudent use of antimicrobial agents in line with Trust Antimicrobial Stewardship Policy. Be responsible for policy implementation and staff development including training in relation to Antimicrobial Stewardship and other medicines management topics in the Trust. Be an active member of the Integrated Care Board (ICB) Antimicrobial Medicines Optimisation Group Meetings to promote the safe, effective and economic use of medicines throughout the Trust and the wider system. Plans and co-ordinates projects and audits to review medicines use (particularly antibiotics) and prescribing polices in the Trust.
