Muddy Puddles is a much-loved, not-for-profit preschool in Long Ditton, rated Outstanding by Ofsted. With over 20 years of experience, they offer a nurturing, play-based environment where children are encouraged to be curious, independent, and love learning. Outdoor exploration is a big part of life at Muddy Puddles – children spend three days a week in the woods and enjoy a free-flow garden every day. Extras like cooking, music, and nature clubs add to the fun. They’re now looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years Apprentice to join their friendly team – a love of nature, creativity, and singing is a real bonus!
The main responsibilities of this job role will include:
Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
Being a team player.
Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children
Taking part in First Aid training as required
Working with teams across the nursery setting
Supporting children’s learning and development.
Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children. Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
Supporting children’s self-help needs.
Being creative and enthusiastic.
Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
In addition to on-the-job training, you will receive support from an assessor and mentor throughout your apprenticeship, and your classroom days will be based online.
